| Description | : | There is no need for an heavy and expensive external add-on recording device,
as both the uncompressed Raw signal (on a removable tiny 4xSSD pack) and the compressed dailies (on an SD card) are simultaneously recorded. The uncompressed signal is in DPX format, the 4K+ actual resolution of the image is not yet disclosed. The compressed dailies in Avid's DNxHD format are ready for editing, this is a big time-saver: just copy the files on to the edit system, and you can start editing. The dual sensitivity of the CCD (100 and 800 ISO) addresses a practical problem of many cinematographers who must use NDs outside, dimming the optical viewfinder. |
