Rarely (I should say never) have I had the pleasure of dreaming about new filming methods with someone as inspirational as John. His love of cinema and deep knowledge of the filmmaking chain (from camera to telecine to editorial) infused his every thought.
It is truly a privilege to have been able to share a part of his life, and to have had so much fun -- so many good laughs -- in the name of more pleasant instruments to play/work with.
